(=€639.00 / 1 kg)
A top class green tea from Guiyang. Consists of the first buds from spring picking. Produces a full-bodied, fragrant infusion with wonderfully fresh aromas and a slightly sweetish base. High in zinc and selenium. When infused for a longer period of time, it develops more fruity aromas reminiscent of apple with caramel nuances in the smell. A real pleasure. Does not become bitter even after prolonged infusion.

Special characteristics:

The Xiao Que She (small bird beak) from Guiyang is a green tea of the highest quality. Only one young bud at a time with a length of between 1.5 - 2 cm is harvested. For the harvest of the Xiao Que Shi there is a time window of just one week. The tea bushes are selectively searched for the individual buds, which are just the right size, in the still very early growth phase. Only the most experienced pickers are used for this harvest. They manage to harvest just 500g of fresh buds of this quality per day. After production and drying, 500g of fresh buds result in a little more than 100g of finished tea. To produce the highest quality teas, such an effort is necessary because at the beginning of the growing season, the tea plants concentrate all their energy and nutrients into the growth of young buds. The tea is therefore very rich in ingredients and very aromatic. It can also be infused over a longer period of time and does not become bitter. Of course we recommend the classical, Chinese preparation. The tea offers great variation in both temperature and brewing time.

The tea offers unique flavours. The reason is the special soil composition. The area around Feng Gang is a region with an exceptionally high concentration of both zinc and selenium. These elements are also concentrated in the tea leaves and shape the flavour.
