Origin:

Fujian / China

Recommendation for the preparation:
10-12 g / litre 2-5 min. 90 ℃

Because of the large volume of the loose leaves, it is best to weigh out the amount needed for an infusion. Due to their loose form, the leaves release their aroma quickly. For Chinese preparation, the first infusion should therefore not be too long.
Western preparation: 90 Grad (2-5 min.).
Chinese preparation: 40s, 80s, >160s.

Harvest time:

Mid-April 2023 (spring harvest)

Special characteristics:

MaioSun drying of the Qing Zong Cha
The special feature of this tea lies in its production method. In a first step, the freshly harvested leaves are spread out in thin layers in bamboo baskets for a short time and pre-dried in the sun. The unique flavour is only achieved through exposure to direct sunlight. The leaves come from a plant genus that is often also known from Taiwan. The weather must be exactly right at harvest time, which is why this variety cannot always be produced in every season.
Qing Zong Cha has an intense aroma when brewed and produces a light green cup. The tea consists of large, fully preserved leaves that quickly unfold their aroma. It has a wonderful, strong aroma, reminiscent of a steamed tea with a kind of creamy note. The slight pre-oxidation in the sun makes the tea more aromatic and, unlike some green teas, it is very easy to prepare. It does not develop bitterness, but also has the characteristics of a green tea.
