Special characteristics:
Sticky Rice Oolong is a unique and very aromatic tea variety that is also grown in Taiwan and China. The quality is unique. This oolong tea is characterised by a distinctive aroma and taste that is reminiscent of rice. Due to its intense taste and smell, it is one of the most popular oolongs.
The tea is both refreshing and soothing. It can be brewed both hot and cold and is perfect for tea drinkers looking for a unique taste experience. The combination of the floral character of the Oolong tea and the delicate rice aroma makes this Sticky Rice Oolong a special treat.
The tea is produced by rotating the tea leaves in a similar way to Ti Kuan Ying. An important step in the production of Sticky Rice Olong is the addition of Nomy Grass or Nomy Ban Zhang (bot. Stobilanthes Nivea Brebej, also known from TCM). Our tea producer grows the Nomy Grass for this tea himself, as it also thrives very well under the climatic conditions in the north of Thailand. The fresh tea leaves are first pre-oxidised. Then a small amount of Nomy Grass is added and further oxidised together. The typical taste component, reminiscent of rice, is introduced into the tea by this herb.
Production and packaging:

100% handmade. We get this tea directly from small producers and tea farmers in China. The tea is grown and processed in a traditional way. Such high qualities are usually produced by the tea farmers only for the local Chinese market. Therefore we are regularly on site with the producers. The direct contact to the tea farmers enables us to offer very reasonable prices with outstanding tea quality. All our teas are checked for pesticide residues by an independent laboratory. We deliver the tea in re-sealable and aroma-safe stand-up pouches made of ALU/PE.
